Use Preview
Check projection, framing and playback before you export.
Preview shows the result of the current settings, rendered the same way as the export.
Open a video in Preview
- Select a video in the library or the queue.
- Click Preview.
- Use the transport bar to play, pause or step one frame at a time.
Check framing
- The badge above the picture shows the source and output formats.
- Adjust Pan (Y), Tilt (X), Roll (Z), field of view and distance in the Inspector.
- Open the Dome Simulator to see domemaster and Mirror Dome output in 3D, with an alignment grid.
Preview uses a lighter antialiasing than export to stay real time; exports average every source pixel each output pixel covers.
Video Conversion Recommended
This badge appears on files decoded through FFmpeg, such as MKV, WebM, AVI, MPEG-TS and MXF. They export correctly as they are, but playback and seeking are smoother after converting them to HEVC or H.264 in MP4 or MOV, or to ProRes. Click the badge for the recommended settings.
